Yecson Preciado was born and raised in Guayaquil, a port city which serves as Ecuador’s commercial capital, but also has the highest poverty rate in the country. He was brought up by a dangerous father who regularly abused him as a child. At just ten-years-old, Yecson had enough and chose to run away to live on the dangerous streets, rather than be beaten by his parent.
Yecson Preciado was grew up on the tough streets of Guayaquil, Ecuador, one of the most violent cities in the world. He left his home as a child after suffering physical abuse at the hands of his father, and grew up to be a professional boxer.

Yecson doesn’t think he’s a hero, but his daughter knows that her father makes a difference in their community. She said that before her father opened Trinibox, her classmates were involved in gangs and using drugs at a young age, but under Yecson’s influence, they have been set on the right path.

Yescon Preciado used to tell his father that he dreamed of being a boxer, and he believes that it was by the will of God that he achieved his goal. Now he uses his gift to help enrich the lives of Ecuador’s impoverished children.
Yecson thinks it takes an extraordinary circumstance to make him a hero. He doesn’t realize that his daily actions and service to others is why he is an everyday hero.
Yecson Preciado overcame an abusive childhood that led him to live on the streets, to become a professional boxer who trains at-risk children in the sport. He hopes that anyone who lives in a country that is more fortunate than Ecuador will join him in helping keep children off the streets.
