Reaching out to the community
If you want and need to be more inspired by “Your Everyday Hero”, he writes a monthly article, is on radio and TV periodically, as well as, available by phone line to answer one’s questions. He relays that as a result of being a family physician he can speak a little about most conditions. He feels that his credentials help people believe and follow his words of wisdom.
Repetition is key
In addition, Dr. Quinn feels that if he can repeat and repeat and repeat the importance of exercise and a change in lifestyle, which might, hopefully, inspire someone to take action, that he will have made an impact, no matter how small. Consequently, eventually with repetition one will get it.
The right person for a tough job
We can definitely accept this doctor’s words of wisdom. Sometimes in life, you met or learn about someone whose very passion inspires you to be a better/healthier person and that is the case for Dr. Timothy Quinn, “Your Everyday Hero.” His passion and positive attitude are definitely infectious.
Dr. Quinn is a native of Mississippi and practices family medicine there. He believes that if you have a medical condition and its diagnosed early, in many cases, a life can be saved. Furthermore, he states Mississippi is the most overweight state in the country. I had no idea, did you?
His vision
In addition to his family practice, Dr. Quinn’s goal is to use his words of wisdom to educate people who have chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, and other health issues, that important changes in their lifestyle can make a difference. He wants to educate not only the patient but also the entire community!
Giving his words of wisdom.
Dr. Timothy stresses the importance of exercising, walking, running, jogging, and eating healthy.
As a result, this lifestyle change can make a huge impact!! These activities are not costly, do not require a membership, a subscription, or money, just courage to stand up and take charge of one’s health. He doesn’t expect us to be able to do it all at once but we can take it step by step. If you choose walking you can start with a few steps, then a few more next time, walking longer distances each time. And if you enjoy running then choose that exercise or jog. Truthfully, it doesn’t matter what exercise you choose just let go of the fear and start one step at a time. Did you know that it is said that it is better to walk than to sit? Walking hydrates the joints which is very important.
